ABOUT US
26 years of show
Founded in 2000
Clarendon Ballroom opened its doors at the dawn of the 21st century, as part of a project conceived by Peter Pflug. His ambition was to create a very large venue capable of hosting all kinds of events, such as weddings, fundraisers, concerts, and private parties.
It was during this time that Clarendon Ballroom began to build its reputation among residents of Arlington, Washington, D.C., and all the surrounding communities.
An iconic venue for nearly 20 years
For two decades, tens of thousands of people have passed through the Art Deco walls of the Clarendon Ballroom.
The Washington Post even described the Clarendon Ballroom as a venue that has played a major role in making Clarendon the nightlife destination of all of Northern Virginia, attracting visitors from Arlington, Alexandria, Reston, and even Manassas.
2020: Pandemic and rebirth
A New Beginning with B SOCIAL
In 2020, after a period of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Clarendon Ballroom has begun a transformation spearheaded by the well-established local group B Social Hospitality.
A long term comitment
Rather than creating an entirely new concept, B Social decided to keep the name Clarendon Ballroom, which is already deeply rooted in Arlington’s nightlife history.
At the same time, the venue underwent extensive renovations:
- a complete renovation of the rooftop,
- new VIP cabanas,
- a massive 30-foot video wall,
- a new audio and video system,
- new lounge areas,
- and a complete renovation of the interior spaces.
A New Generation of Arlington Nightlife
Today, Clarendon Ballroom enters a new chapter while staying true to what made it an Arlington icon in the first place: bringing people together through unforgettable nights, live entertainment, and shared experiences.
More importantly, the programming has evolved alongside the venue. Clarendon Ballroom has become a destination for weekly nightlife experiences, internationally recognized DJs, rooftop parties, sports watch events, holiday celebrations, themed festivals, and private gatherings. Signature events such as Full Send Fridays and Saturday Night Out (SNO) have helped establish a new identity while honoring the venue’s long-standing reputation as one of Northern Virginia’s premier nightlife destinations.
